Healthy Ice Cream Recipe

Hey guys!

I just recently tried out the ever-so-famous nano ice cream! It was such a delicious snack and are great for those who are eating healthy. I was so pleasantly surprised with the results that I decided to post it on here. It’s very quick to make and it’s absolutely perfect for summer!

What you’ll need:

2 frozen bananas                                                                                                                                                 1 Tsp nuts/seeds of your choice                                                                                                                       1 serving of fruit                                                                                                                                                 Food Processor

Directions:

  1. Slice your bananas into pieces, then lay them out on your Saran wrap. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until frozen.
  2. After your bananas are ice hard, remove the Saran wrap and place them in the food processor. Blend, until your banana resemble dry crumbles.
  3.  At this point, you can add any flavouring that you wish, ( nutella, peanut butter, jam, honey) which I do NOT recommend as for it doesn’t take as good without the natural sweetening. Plus, it’s not as healthy:)
  4. Keep blending, until  mixture has nice, smooth consistency and texture. Scrape your ice cream out of the food processor. Serve with your own choices of toppings.

I decided to go with a honey glaze over the ice cream with a nice touch of pumpkin seed, a side serving of fresh mangoes and a small tablespoon of sugar-free blue berry jam.

For my toppings, I went for a honey glaze, pumpkin seeds, fresh mangoes, and a tablespoon of jam. Other possible toppings include:

  1. Peanut Butter
  2. Whipped Cream
  3. Any other fruit
  4. Chocolate Chips
  5. Nutella
  6. Cashews
  7. Yogurt
  8. Raisins
  9. Cinnamon
  10. Mini marshmallows

 

If you are allergic to bananas, blueberry and mango nano ice cream works just as well! Although the consistency department will be a bit lacking, it will still taste amazing. 🙂
